My first beer from this brewery, possibly my first barrel-aged Tripel style. Not entirely sure what to expect.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter. One finger of frothy white head that doesn't stay long. Some okay sticky strands of fat lacing. No yeast particulate visible.

Any traditional Tripel aromas have been covered by the barrel aging. Subtle fruitiness, but none of the traditional dark fruits come through. A creamy mouthfeel.

Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Easy-drinking for the high Overall, an interesting first offering from Sleepy Dog Brewery. Would be interesting in trying more out from these guys.
